Over 20 years supporting Children, Adolescents and Young Adults

About My Work
I am a Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Autogenic Therapist based in Oxfordshire, working with children, young people and young adults (-25) facing emotional, behavioural, or relational difficulties. I offer a thoughtful, containing space to explore feelings and support growth and change.
Since 2004, I've worked across a therapeutic residential school and Oxford CAMHS (NHS), with particular experience supporting children and young people affected by trauma, adverse early childhood experiences, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, depression, anger, and aspects of neurodivergence. I can accept referrals through the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) and Aviva Health Insurance.
Alongside psychotherapy, I offer Autogenic Therapy, a gentle and structured meditative self-help approach to emotional balance and self-regulation, for both children and adults.
I currently practise privately alongside my NHS work with Oxford CAMHS, and have taught child development and infant observation at the Tavistock Clinic in London.

Research & Publications
I bring a research foundation to my clinical work. My doctoral research explored how we understand aggression in children and young people. I am currently building on this work in my forthcoming book, Aggression: A Contemporary Introduction (Routledge, Contemporary Introductions to Psychoanalysis series), due for publication in 2027. My clinical and research work has a particular focus on aggression and its place in emotional and relational life. I am interested in both the constructive and destructive aspects of aggression, and in how difficulties in experiencing, expressing or containing aggression can feature in psychological distress and mental health difficulties.
My published work includes a comparative study of mental health treatment for young people in England and Germany, and a paper on Autogenic Training as a self-help technique for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
